This program is designed to prepare four-year-olds for kindergarten and build the foundation for their educational success. The program allows a parent to enroll his or her eligible child (four years old by September 1 and residing in Florida) in a free VPK program. The program is voluntary for children and providers. A school-year program consists of 540 instructional hours.
First Christian Academy’s Preschool Program offers two VPK classes. Our 5 day VPK class is just under 3.5 hours of instruction each day (morning hours of 8:30 am to 12 pm) and our 3 day VPK class is 6 hours of instruction Monday, Wednesday and Friday (hours of 8:30 am to 2:30 pm). Both of these programs are paid for by the State of Florida for those children that meet the State’s requirements.
Our 5-day VPK Program also offers an extended day option for those parents who desire a full day of preschool activities. The fees for these extended hours are the responsibility of the parents.
