FCA Clubs & Extracurricular Activities
The students at First Christian Academy love to have fun together after school. After school clubs give the students opportunities to develop new skills and to discover the gifts that God has given to each of them.
Running Club
This fun club meets after school on Tuesdays during the fall season to prepare the students for our annual Gobbler Race and to encourage physical fitness and endurance. All students in grades K-8 are eligible to participate. Students who sign up to participate in our Gobbler Race may attend Running Club.
Zumba (VPK – 2nd grade)
Zumba® Kids (preschool – 2nd grade) classes are rockin’, high-energy dance parties packed with kid-friendly routines for boys and girls. We break down steps, add games, activities and cultural exploration elements into the class structure. Zumba helps develop a healthy lifestyle and incorporate fitness as a natural part of children’s lives.
Dance (3rd – 5th grade)
FCA offers a quality dance program while also celebrating the Lord. The students are happy and excited when they learn steps and techniques. Practice makes progression, not perfection. ♥
The students learn a different style each quarter- Lyrical, Jazz, Musical theatre, etc.. A great way to give the students a different feel for something they may love.
Music Club (kindergarten – 2nd grade)
Students will learn the basics of music while having fun! We will learn how to properly use our voices while glorifying our Lord! Attending this class will also help students voices be ready for the Junior Knights Choir when they are old enough to attend and go to the ACSI Musical Festival to represent FCA! Students who attend Music Club will perform for the K-2nd grades Christmas show.
Junior Knights Choir (3rd – 6th grades)
Students will work together to be one voice to Glorify the King! We will learn how to best use our voices for the Lord. During the spring, we will represent FCA by attending the annual ACSI Musical Festival where we will perform two pieces of memorized music and be rated by judges. The Junior Knights will also perform during the Spring Talent Show.
